I have waited a month to write this review to make sure it was genuine and lasting-not just a flash in the pan. After an hour long assessment with Dr. Calabrese, she got right to the point that bi-polar condition was a chemical condition of the brain often helped by Ketamine and well prescribed mood stabilizer. There was no baloney or physo analysis about a bad childhood, divorce, traumas or any of that baloney that most psychiatrist want to string you along with indefinitely. Ketamine was offered as a viable therapy. It is expensive and not covered by insurance but I would do it again in a heartbeat based on the wonderful life changing experience. I traveled 5 hours each way with my wife for the treatments because I was at the end of my rope with bipolar depression and had tried everything short of shock therapy which scared me to death( One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest:) If you’re in doubt or on the fence, I’d recommend this therapy as cutting edge and worth every penny. The experience itself with some positive reinforcement provided by Dr. Calabrese was most pleasant and enlightening in a spiritual journey kind of way. I am proud to be a proponent of this doctor and this cutting edge but not widely known treatment.
