Will My Insurance Pay For Treatment?
Maybe. Ketamine treatment for mood and anxiety disorders is an innovative treatment, and many insurance companies are now beginning to pay for it.
We’re out of network. So if you have out-of-network coverage and your insurance pays you back when you see doctors out-of-network, it may send you a check to cover a lot of the cost of your treatment with us. Hooray! Stay with us.
We offer comprehensive psychiatric consultation, and schedule individual ketamine appointments based on what you need, including follow-up treatments or “boosters” when you need them — to keep you well, or get you back on track.
Payment
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, HSA and FSA, Cash, Check
We require a credit card on file to schedule an appointment, and we charge it the morning of your treatment.
We also accept cash and checks if you want to keep things private but we require a credit card on file as a back up.
How To Get Insurance to Pay for Ketamine
We want your insurance company to reimburse you for your treatment and we want that to be fast and easy. So we’ve partnered with Reimbursify to make the whole process of getting you paid back simple and transparent.
Here’s how it works:
1. We check for you to see how much reimbursement you can expect. Send us your info here
2. On the morning of your treatment, we charge your credit card on file
3. We give you a statement with all the details
4. You can use our free Reimbursify service to submit your statements from us to your insurance company right here so that you get paid back fast. Or you can ask us to upload your statements for you and save you the hassle — your choice
5. Reimbursify emails you to confirm your info and submits everything to your insurance
5. Within 2-4 weeks, you receive a check in the mail
Our Extra Help To Get Your Insurance Reimbursement for Ketamine
Many of our patients have used our secret weapon to get up to 100% reimbursement.
Secret weapon? Yes. We’re the only psychiatry practice in the country that’s done the painstaking work to publish real-world research data from our own practice, using this with hundreds of our own patients showing how effective and life-saving the ketamine treatment we offer can be — it can turn things around and save you from the high costs of treatment in the ER or hospital.
Most insurance companies are smart. They would much rather pay you back for outpatient treatment with us than pay for that.
We would be happy to provide you with a copy of our published research paper in case your insurance company gives you a hard time about your treatment with us. We’re trying to bring them around — one company at a time — with data they can’t argue with.

Psychopharmacology
We are not accepting new patients in this arm of our practice.
Psychopharmacology is offered to current patients only by telemedicine. Appointments are scheduled in 15 minute blocks. We offer double blocks if you need more time, or want to include a family member with you in your appointment.
How often do you need to be seen? That depends on how you’re doing, and what you need. Certain medications cannot be refilled without an appointment.
Here’s the Deal with Medicare
We are not Medicare or Medicaid providers. Medicare will not pay for your treatment with us, and neither will your secondary.
We’ve been opted-out of Medicare for more than a decade. We do not bill Medicare or accept Medicare payments.
What that means is that if you are covered by Medicare, you cannot submit your statements to receive reimbursement for your treatment with us from either Medicare or your secondary insurance company. This is a Medicare regulation and it applies to all doctors who opt out of Medicare and their patients.
If you are covered by Medicare, or become covered by Medicare during your treatment with us, it is your responsibility to notify us immediately. You are required to sign our opt-out notification and agreement (Medicare calls it a “Medicare contract”) before your first appointment under Medicare.
We cannot proceed without your signature and consent on this crucial document.
Medicaid will not reimburse you for treatment with us or pay for medications we prescribe for you. You must have your prescriptions written by a Medicaid physician or nurse practitioner for Medicaid to pay for your medication.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that there are times when you must miss a scheduled appointment because of illness, emergencies, or other obligations. We know. We’ve been there, too.
However, if you do not cancel your appointment at least one day in advance, you prevent another patient from getting much needed treatment or from being seen that day for an urgent problem.
If you miss your appointment and have not notified us at least one day in advance, you will be charged your full appointment fee
